Time Magazine on the backlash against IKEA for opting to use Verdana over Futura (which they’ve used forever) in their 2010 catalogue.
i must say i am more than a little shocked. futura was a big part of IKEA’s branding and it just makes sense. verdana, really? citing cost effectiveness is just an appropriate response coming from IKEA either. design is their thing, they should be cutting corners elsewhere.
